01. The beauty of this scenery is ( beyond ) descriptlon.
■ beyond は be(ある)+yond(向こう側に) が語源。
★ beyond one's understanding 「〜の理解を超えている」→「〜には理解できない」
★ beyond (one's) belief 「信じられない」= unbelievable
★ beyond one's ability 「〜の能力の及ばない」
02. I don't understand the lecture; it's ( beyond ) me.
03. ( Despite ) the fact that she was ill, she did her best to finish it.

04. Her new puppy is always getting ( in ) trouble.

05. The recent weather will have a bad effect ( on )
agricultural production.

★ order A from B 「B(会社や地域など)にA(商品)を注文する」
10. She was ( in ) danger when she was taken to the
hospital.

------------------------------------------------------------
Section Two
[ in / about / on / of / into / above / over / among / at / to / with ]
14. I went to the airport ( in ) my mother's car.
つまり、"in my mother's car"が正しい表現となります。
15. ( On ) arriving at the airport, I hurriedly made a reservation for the hotel.
As soon as I arrived at the airport, I hurriedly made a
reservation for the hotel.
★on(upon) 〜ing 「〜するとすぐに」
16. The boys began to run ( in ) the direction of the beach.
★in the direction of 〜「〜の方向に向かって」
17. She is really ( into ) music and eager to practice the piano.
18. Japan is ( among ) the most technologically-advanced countries in the world.
Japan is one of the most technologically-advanced countries in the world.
19. The teacher set the rules ( to ) everyone's satisfaction.

★ talk A into 〜ing = persuade A into 〜ing
★ talk A out of 〜ing = persuade A out of 〜ing 「A
25. I found no shoes completely ( to ) my taste.

He was not only a musician but also an outstanding actor.
(例) No one knows it besides me. 「それは私のほかはだれも知らない」= No one knows it but me.
34. The author is ( of ) the opinion that children should be punished when misbehaving.

They are of the same age.「彼らは同じ歳である」のように、主語の性質や状態を表します。be of the opinion that 〜 で「〜という意見」を持っている"性質"であると考えます。
35. This kind of device is ( of ) little or no use in this situation.
